Europeade is the largest festival of European folk culture that is held in a different European country each year. Europeade will take place in Helsingborg, Sweden in 2015. The aim of Europeade is to create European friendship though folk dance and music.
The first Europeade took place in Antwerpen in 1964 and has since then been hosted by many cities in Europe. In 2015, the 52nd edition of the festival will be hosted in Helsingborg. The goal of Europeade has since the beginning been to foster a united Europe, where everyone contributes and develops his of her own culture, respecting everyone else. This all comes alive when thousands of people from every corner of Europe, dressed in their traditional costumes, get together to sing, dance and play music.
